Give the BEST of yourself!

When things are tough mentally, I know I need a little self-care, but I struggle to make it happen. Although it’s during these times that I need it the most.

Self-care can be anything from just taking a couple of deep breaths to getting your hair or nails done. It’s simply doing something little for yourself that helps nurture your body, mind, or soul and makes you feel good. It doesn’t have to be time-consuming or expensive. It’s about loving and caring for yourself.

Self-care will look different for each person. It could mean going on a walk, eating nutritious food, or getting enough sleep. It can also mean fitting in daily meditation, doing a hobby you love, or even connecting with family or friends.

This is just one of the topics we dive into in Journey to Healthy Habits. I know it’s definitely an area I’m continually working to improve. We get so busy doing all the things we think we need to do that we forget to stop and do the most important thing…take care of ourselves.

Self-care is giving the BEST of yourself instead of what’s left of you.
